all are western digital

laptop = 1 ide partitioned 40gig/40gig (i dual boot linux and xp)
desktop#1= 1 sata (160gig)
desktop#2 = 1 sata (250gig)
desktop#3(used as a file server) = ide#1 (40gig) only for OS, ide#2 (250gig), ide#3 (160gig), and 3 sata drives 500gigs each.. excluding the 40gig ide, the drives are setup in as raid1 array
